The live customer service, similar to "Instant Messenger", is very cool, especially from their end.
When you log on and try to reach them, it actually makes a ringing noise just like a telephone.
Supervisors can monitor the exchange from the front desk if they need to. The system also alerts the supervisor if too much time has passed without the customer service rep making a response.
I would have to imagine we'll be seeing more of this down the road. It simply makes sense from a dollar standpoint.
How do those guys who book out of Hotel Del Rey get any business done? How do they overcome the distraction of the lovely sweet cream ladies who pervade the premises?
Great review, Jeff. I know you couldn't thoroughly cover all the books you visited, but did you mention them all? I was curious to know if you had a chance to swing by some of the newer emerging shops like Abetz and 5Dimes? Also, what is the growth outlook forecast for some of the smaller shops in the Unified Gaming group?
Reno:
Great rave on the Hotel Del Ray. I should have you book my next vacation!
Ticket Agent: Would you like a window or aisle seat, sir?
Scotty, next stop for me is Vegas. I need a break from Sportsbetting, and I hear they have outlawed it there.
Seriously though, you bring up some valid points. I honestly feel as though if it weren't for our government, and the cases like Jay Cohen, everyone of the books in the write up would have no problem putting their names on their businesses. Afterall, in the beginning, they all did, and even gave interviews to the likes of the New York Times, CNN, etc.etc.
Bette Midler, I attempted to see the two books you mentioned, to no avail. I had to cut my trip short unfortunately.
As far as the growth of the Unified Gaming books or any of the newer books for that matter, I'd say the ball is in their court. It's a growth industry right now.
I also stopped in to see Players Superbook and MVP Sports which I failed to mention in my write up......
As for the Del Rey, I'd reccomend bringing a can of OFF....lots of mosquitos there, in swarms. The only other way to get rid of them is to pay them......
