Skybook reported on another thread that they will be listed on a free or inexpensive live feed.

I hated when Skybook dropped off the Don Best screen.

I dont know anything else. I was busy they called asked to put me up I said yes and switched them to the tech department. I was on the phone for 5 seconds.
As soon as I learn more I will let you all know. I know how important and how much it helps you all to see our lines

i use the skybook livefeed every day.just log onto their website log onto baseball odds at about11a.m. ,i have that offsite as a favourite so i can check the moves all day.also skybook have the truest dimeline i have come across.

Lou Diamonds new free (for now) live feed is just going operational.

By tomorrow they say they will have:

Premiere
Post Time
Margarita
Loose Lines
Cyberbetz
Wsex

Many more, including SKYBOOK soon thereafter.

I for one really hope this new service is good because for bases I must have a service which includes SKYBOOK!

Lou Diamonds's attempt as being the next Don Best is just a joke.

Actually, he tried this about 3 to 4 months ago already and I remembered it was a total failure then and I don't see any difference will it be now.

Free is not always good if it is just garbage.

Don Best is Don Best, it always has been and it will still be in the near future.

Agreed Don Best is the "best" right now.

However, to drop the most important baseball book (Skybook) at the beginning of baseball season is business idiocy.

If ANYONE comes up with a live line service close to Don Best during baseball season which includes Skybook I for one will switch permanently!

Even if this service is not as good as Don Best, it benefits everyone. Competition will bring all prices down. Don Best is a superior service but $500 a month is a ridiculious price. A free service shows just how ridiculous Don Best charges are and gives a smaller player like myself access to live odds. Right now Don Best has a monopoly on live odds from good books. Don Best is trying very hard to keep this monopoly. When Skybook chose to list their odds on other services, Don Best kicked them off because Don Best wants to keep its monopoly on live odds from reputable books. Kudos to Lance from Skybook to not giving in to Don Best monopolistic practices.

Everything you say is true, (except for the whole injury thing seeing as all your injury info is based on previously published reports) but consider this.

Dana, what if you could increase your number of subscribers by 6 times by dropping the price? Have you considered that?

I agree that your service is second to none, and cannot be easily duplicated etc. But the main thing you have to look at

(assuming your servers/technology are able to handle more customers, which i assume they are based on your "state of the art" complex and costly equipment)

IS THIS EQUATION:

number of subscribers vs/ avg cost of subscribers.

Personally I do not have a problem with the $500/month.

What I have a problem with is dropping Skybook - arguably the most important major baseball book since many other majors went to a wide line.

Any knowledgeable baseball bettor - and Don Best knows this - knows how important the Skybook line was to any serious baseball bettor.

Dropping Skybook shows a total disregard for the preferences and needs of Don Best customers.

Right now, like Reno, it is necessary to pay another $300/month for a live Skybook feed - all because Don Best showed his loyal baseball customers no thought or consideration.

I will say again IMO it was a terrible business decision - I was very happy with Don Best, but now, like many others, I would welcome any live line competition that inluded Skybook.
