  • SPORTSBOOKS BEWARE!!!!!!

we are beginning to see a smoke and mirrors game that is working EVEN with the smartest of people. Another website (i will not mention) is clearly telling books untruths in an effort to gain new advertisers.
its a shame. the numbers do not lie. the players don't lie. the underhandeness does not lie.

yet the books buy into it. its pathetic!

97-30 was the latest score when the people were offered 5 large to choose a new name for a sportsbook. In addition 25% of the posts on the "other" site were that of site operators. this is a true indication of the traffic difference between the 2 sites. as of 3/30 it was more like 85-15. not so strangely MOST of the posts on the "OTHER" site were made by "junior" members. these are people who have not posted more than 10 times.

Where were all the posters who have been frequenting the site under aliases the last week? who are these people?

it was proven that one was the site operator.

The threat of using a non-existant mailing list and worse is a weak way to get clients. however it appears it works. that is sad.

bworld does not use these tactics. buy into the other site and you have been fooled my friends. fooled badly.

If you are a book that wants a few nickel and dime squares then consider the "other" site.

Post there and have a ball. If you want to deal with books that have a knowledge of people that lie and players that probably do not exist then go to the other place.

we want the REAL books here! we want the REAL players here!!

    brian

As an unbiased observer it would seem that you guys are afraid to lose some business. In your hasty plea for the sportsbooks not to be duped you come off extremely unprofessional.

In case you haven't noticed the internet is a huge place with the possibility that more than one forum could operate in this niche market.

I am not sure how it could possibly harm the books or the bettors to have more than one voice in airing rants/raves info. Your message really confuses me, i mean who could possibly complain about another outlet for sportsbetting info on the net.

Oh wait, that would be you... i am no longer confused.

ps. you might want to take a deep breath and spell check your post before you put it out there for public consumption, kind of like the way you censor your forums (lest you come off as unprofessional).

mburns, sure, there's nothing wrong with other forums being around. But seriously, which site do you work for...?

I've got nothing against competition in any area, but to me B'World is the top one out there. They were around when a book tried to stiff me... they were the ONLY ones warning fellow bettors from the place that tried to rip me off. I owe them a big debt, and to be honest this is the only sportsbetting site that I visit on a daily basis.

Whatever your motive, it's not my problem. But don't attack a place that will stand up for the sportsbettor and protect his or her interests. The people behind this site will help you out when the need arises, and there's no reason why anyone should try and speak negatively of this place. Sure, your comments are welcome, and nobody will throw them out.

But have at least a little respect for a place that has saved many a bettor from sending funds to a place of no return. These guys are for real, and once you witness this personally you will feel the same way that I do.

ah! another 1st time poster. how coincidental. sounds like the weasel from next door. the same person who incerements his counters by tens or twentys and threatens books with his "power".

lets play the game. lets lay the cards out on the table. lets go at it. lets stop hiding. lets stop inventing people to post because you cannot get anybody to last on your site more than a day. lets release your true traffic numbers to the books. lets stop sitting back while bworld takes the chances on new ideas while you wait to see if they work - then copy them if they do -verbatim.

lets start using some of your own ideas--if you have any. take a chance like we do. no need to copy-no need to lie. most books know or will know soon.

you are a pathetic fraud. you have fooled people and books with promises based only on whether they choose to sign up with you.

you are not, have never been and never will be a player. you are a fraud. books that associate themselves with you have been taken very bad advantage of.

you are a liar who preys on the fear some books have of your non-existant "weight" in this industry.

you are THE MOST unrespected individual bettorsworld has ever associated itself with or has had the displeasure to meet.

you want to play hardball? lets play!!!

watch the junior posters who no one knows start to show up. that is because they are non existant people who hide under 1 or 2 people's names. they will also be aol people.

we are tired of being copied by someone who is underhanded, uses UNPROFESSIONAL tactics and prays upon books who simply do not know how little weight this punk carries in this industry.
If you are fooled in the pocketbook SHAME ON YOU!!!

              Brian-

I'm not commenting on the content of your post, but public declarations of "let's play hardball" kind of ring hollow if you don't name the site. If you are making a personal post to another site(person) without naming it(him), you might as well save the drama and e-mail that person(s).

It's obvious that you are talking about "the shrink" and your old cohort "sting" at the************. Just say that instead of pretending that you don't want to name it. Lord knows you have never been shy about ripping other sites by name before.

                ok kosar,

hey thanks! this post shows your continued love of bettorsworld. you continue with your positive posts in all forums.

you certainly bring alot to the table.

have you made any picks lately?

                didn't think so.

                  mburns,

I seriously doubt if you're an "unbiased observer." First, I don't recall seeing you post here before. What a coincidence that your first post explicitly rips Bettorsworld and implicitly supports the "other site."
Second, you don't even address bgeorgia's points concerning the other site. Your argument about the obvious right of other sites to also post raves/rants is superfluous. bgeorgia does not question that right. He simply and approriately--if what he says is true, and I bet it is--is informing Bettorsworld readers about the lowly tactics employed by the "other site." Why don't you address his revelations concerning the "other site?" Lastly, your censorship criticism is a joke. Bettorsworld is extremely tolerant and only (and properly) censors inappropriate posts.

alright i promised myself to avoid these things but,,

for those who want to check, this isn't mburns first post. i remember him saying he came to the forum to expose his buddies from skybook.

i also see that skybook is now with the ************ so i doubt that he is from the ************.

                    just my observation

BGeorgia, I wonder how many people were as confused by your initial post as I was. Up until very recently I wasn't even aware of any friction between BW and the other site. All that aside, I cannot begin to tell you how fortunate I feel to have stumbled across this site last year. Like many of the posters here, I'm sure that you guys would come to bat for us if the need arose. In addition their have been a number of occasions when I've felt the need to ask or seek an opinion outside the public forum and Jeff has gone above and beyond in answering my questions and concerns. With 99% of internet sites, customer service is either lacking or non-existent. You guys are TOPS when it comes to that. Keep up the good work.

thank you all. let me lock up this baby with these final notes. jeff and i and willy are always here. first name, last name, middle name. we are not the executive suit and tie guy. we are players- all different levels. we make ourselves available to the public.
while no one is perfect, our aim has always been to be honest to our clients and players.
we do not sleep well if we are not.
this is still a "mom and pop" bettors shop-albeit a big one.

when provoked directly or indirectly (behind our backs) we will respond.
that's because we are not a fortune 500 co.
and we DO care about our clients.

we read every email and try to respond. this is not easy but we do the best we can.

finally, we play straight. that is to say we are straight up. NOT PERFECT but we try and are always trying.

we encourage any advertiser to contact us for any statistics and compare. we are not good at sweet talk, we are not "gentle" BUT we are businessmen that deliver what we promise without stipulations. thats the way people that are straight up operate.

                        thanks all for ypur support.

Gee, sounds like a sticky wicket to me. I'm glad to be so misinformed. For all of those out there who don't know the difference between the two contestants, let me tell you firsthand, I have experiences with both. If you are reading this post you are lucky and have stumbled across clearly the BEST one out there. There is no comparison. In this virtual world we live in one must be wise enough to, look through the monitor and not just at it, to realize the human element behind the electronic facade. Some things never change, like human nature. Confuscious sez "A leopard cannot change his spots, but a weasel can change his IP address." My opinion is this site is run by honest professionals.

                            Brian,

I am not trying to stir the pot here, and I am not a JM, and have been around BW quite some time.

I like BW and all, but find it amusing that whoever this other joint is, whether it be IG or someone else.

Why bother wasting your time with them...

I have started my own posting forum, does that make me a competitor with you???

Actually I hope not, as I would like to lean on you for help.

Sometimes it is good to have healthy competition as long as it is run fair, ethical and no smear tactics.

I kind of look at this as the burger wars, cola wars etc etc..... Funny ads attacking one another but in a clean way without the negative verbage.

This helps the industry grow as a whole.

Nonetheless those are my minor thoughts, keep up the great work, and do what you do best.

                              freak,

all 3 partners are former athletes and we certainly enkjoy some "good clean competition".

that being said this is not competition and it certainly isn't of the clean nature.

                              thanks tornado!
