You guys can add Pinnacle to the list. Management assured me last week. Solid out and you are not gouged on big chalk take backs.

Reno,
From what I understand Leo Walters helped with the marketing of Top of the World Sports and now has moved on and is not in the gaming industry anymore. I was in Top of the World for a short time (a month or two) and received prompt payouts from them and was impressed with the way they conducted themselves.
I'm glad to have seen a post by Jeff that both Island and Sportbet (the old IGN) will be dealing dime lines for baseball this year. Hopefully the other Unified Gaming books will follow suit as there are many in that group I think very highly of and would like to use.

Jr44,
Olympic and WSEX are staying 10cent. The whole idea of 20cent is falling apart at the seams. The books simply cannot risk alienating their substantial client bases. There has been too much backlash from us, the betting public, and for that we are to be congratulated. Any book would now be foolish to offer a 20cent line for baseball and risk alienating current customer base as well as not being able to atract new customers. The players have spoken, "we will only play and support 10cent books."

On the average, it makes a 5-cent difference whether you take the favorite or dog, since most books with a 20-cent line will increase the favorite 5-cents and reduce the dog by 5-cents. To get an idea of how much better you have to do with a 20-cent line to break even, consider a game at pick: at -105 with a 10-cent line, you need 51.2% winners to break even vs. 52.4% at -110 with the 20-cent line.

Thinking about this, if you are a bookmaker would you have a 20cent line and just knock down the underdogs?
Centrebet, for example, is like this - favorites around the same, but underdogs cut - which means if you are favorite only, it is ok - not taking yanks, this probably would not matter for them a lot.
However, if you were a yank-taking bookie, and did the cut underdogs only, you would only get 'smart' action on favorites, and this could leave you overloaded? Just a guess, anyway. Opinions?
Me, as a 'rhomboid' type averaged a price slightly to the underdog side, stayed away from very large underdogs pretty much.
Now, at around 900 selections at 55% for example like last year, at around +100 on price gives you +90.
Make this price -105?
900 * 0.55 = 495
900 *0.55 * 0.95 = approx 470
Fair difference there, especially for big punters, even at 20 bucks a game that is five hundred bucks worse off, if each side is 5 cents worse

Service is important to me. I am sticking with Olympic, posting up with Premiere who has impressed me with their fast replys to my questions, and reloading with Sportbet.
I wanted to give ABetz a try but got no reply to my e-mail asking if they treat CC loads as a purchase. Won't deal with an unresponsive book. Would also like to postup with GO To Casino as they seem to have great customer service and a great bonus program but they told me they would be dealing a 20C line this season. I appreciate their quick response though and will give them a shot football season. Regards
