  • Any Great Sign-up Offers

Anyone aware of the best sign-up/upgrade offers out there right now.

I was planning to add a few dollars to a current account or start a new one (from among the BW sponsors) but I hate to lay out those dollars if there is a bonus offer available somewhere that might add 10-15%.

    thanks

Try Millenium Sports. They give a 15% bonus for new accounts, as long as you open up for at least $500. They also pick up the charges for sending the money. 10% bonus every time you re-load your account, and a 10% referral bonus. Go to millsports.com if you are interested. They have a very impressive on-line wagering site, and offer 1st halves and halftimes on all games.

      AZ,

Good to hear from you. Check out my profile and go to the home page listed. I have a sportsbook directory that lists who offers bonuses . . . and of course I could always use the referral $.

Email me and I will also tell you what I know.

      As always - Good Luck,

The push/loss on the free bet is a bum deal at CRIS. Next time pick a game with a hook. You can get a free bet on reloads.

Be careful this would be the time of year(March madness hype) if places were looking to go south on you and will entice you with great offers. Granted you probably cannot go wrong with any names on the left but some of the others mentioned in this thread are newcomers..........I personally have received payouts of 4 dimes or larger at the following.........Nasa, Gameday,Mill,v-wager, and Bowmans and all are giving a 10% or more bonus for newbies....GL2u

I'll give you a crappy free bet. Olympic gave me a free bet on my original deposit. First of all, they advertise 10% on new accounts, but I just accepted this free bet policy. So I played my free bet ($88) on a straight wager. I win my bet, and guess what, I get credited with $80. I was expecting $168 to be deposited in my account, but I guess I was betting with imaginary money. I complained, and Spiro put the whole $168 in my account. I can't believe CRIS treats a push as a loss on a free bet. That is really bush, and do they also only try to credit you with the winnings, and not the original stake?

                    Alexander...

A free bet is referred to as a "matchplay" and it is standard in the industry that it only pays out if you win.

This means that the "matchplay" is worth exactly half of what a cash bonus is.

A 20% matchplay (or free bet) is really the equivalent financially of a 10% bonus. Use this formula when comparing sportsbook bonuses to one another.

For example right now CRIS is offering a 15% free bet which is really the same as a 7.5% bonus, less than the 10% many solid shops are offering.

As a smart businessman, Spiro wanted to keep you as a customer, but he was in the right. The rules on a matchplay or free bet or free play are that you collect ONLY THE WINNINGS.

Hope this helps to clear this up.

Boomer is right, and cudos to Olympic for giving you the money anyway.

This makes me think back to an earlier thread about bonuses. Books need to more clearly spell out the bonus, how it works, under what conditions you can keep it, etc. so that there's no room for misunderstanding.

                          Boomer,

If that is what a "free play" really is, then these sportsbooks have an obligation to clearly state that a free play means that you don't get back the original wager if you win the bet. How many sportsbooks tell you this clearly? Olympic did not, and in fact, if you visit their site, they advertise a 10% free bonus for new customers, which was what I should have received in the first place.

I, and many people would normally believe that a free play is exactly what it says, a free play. Let's say that a Las Vegas sportsbook offers me a free $50 bet, then I should be able to go to any ticket window, and bet that $50 any way that I want to, and have an actual ticket printed out for me to hold. So if I decide to bet a 2-team parlay, I should be able to cash that ticket for $180, not just $130. In reality, a free play (matchplay) is a bet placed with "imaginary money" then.

There are many legitimate sportsbooks that offer new customers bonuses as high as 15%. Olympic's "free play" bonus definitely would not have enticed me to join them, especially now that you have pointed out to me exactly what a free play is. If anyone goes to Olympic's website, there is no mention of exactly what a free play really is. I believe that Spiro knew that I had a good point, and that he had to "do the right thing" and credit me with what I expected.

I give Spiro some credit for giving me what I expected, but at the same time, what he is doing is misleading. And I really believe he knows that. If people complain, then he will give them the full amount they expected, but if people don't complain, then there is no reason for him to add anything to their account.

A lot of people here believe Olympic is a solid book, and they are decent in my opinion, but what they are doing in this case is just plain wrong.

First of all, get rid of the 10% bonus offer on new accounts, that just isn't true.
Secondly, clearly state what a "free play" really is, because it definitely isn't what I or many other people believe it should be.

A free bet or matchplay may be standard in the industry Boomer, but that still doesn't mean that everybody knows what they really are. I sure didn't, and I'd bet a lot of other people don't either. If I can be blunt, Olympic is scamming people with this free play offer. Get rid of the 10% bonus offer, and tell people exactly what a free play is, then you'll get a lot more respect from me.

                          phaedrus,

I have used Millenium, and I know of many others who have, and there have never been any problems with payments. You get a 15% new account bonus, 10% referral fees, and 10% re-up bonuses. I would definitely rate them higher than Olympic.

                              Alexander...

I just went into Olympic's site and saw where they do say 10% bonus for new signups and I definitely agree with you that it should say matchplay or free play if that is what they intend.

Just for your information, when I signed up there in June of last year, I did receive a 10% cash bonus and they haven't changed the copy on the site to read any different, so you are definitely right in this case.

I do want you to know that Olympic is one of the most solid, well-respected books out there though. This doesn't change my opinion of them, but they should practice truth in advertising on this matter.

As for you, know that it isn't a perfect world out there and you have to ask (and I get it on tape) whether it is a cash or matchplay bonus and get the name and of the person you've talked to and the time of day.

Frankly, I had cases where they tried to change the deal after I sent the money and having the tape (theirs and mine) saved my butt.
