  • question about transferring money ....

i've got accts with wwts and carib. i've
transferred money from wwts to carib. i just had to give wwts my acct # with carib. (with carib..you have acct# and pin #)
now i want to transfer money from carib
to wwts(they only have pin #). but carib wants my pin number with wwts to do the transfer.
is that safe to do? giving a sportsbook (i.e carib)
my pin number with another book (wwts)?
    thanks

Sounds a little sus, although you've probably got nothing to worry about with these guys.

In Australia, you do it purely on your name, and then you confirm the transaction at both ends.

But coming out of a jurisdiction where it's frowned upon and with valid reservations about using your own name etc, it may be the best you can do.

I agree that in this particular case there's nothing to worry about. But the potential problem is caused by the fact that WWTS doesn't ask for more security details before sending your money out. I love WWTS for taking my withdrawal request fast and efficiently. But they need to add a security code or something to prevent fraud.

Discuss it with WWTS maybe you could get a temporary password for just this one transaction or change it and then change it back. At any rate you could certainly change your password after the transaction like changeing the lock on your door if you misplaced a key.

I've criticized Bowman's in the past, but one thing they do better than any other book is to demand that the person requesting money provide personal details--mother's maiden name, etc.--to prove he is indeed the customer. For security purposes, other books should follow suit.

In fact when I signed up with Bowmans almost 3 yrs. ago they sent an account registration form that was very detailed. I spoke to Bowmans today and they told me that they don't do transfers to other books. They also, by the way, issue company checks not cashiers checks on payouts.Just FYI.

You mean Bowman's is still around? Gave up gambling for a while and was looking for them, but I guess I am an idiot. LOL.

They have always been good for me.
