  • DAYTONA 500 CONTEST FOR INTERTOPS ACCOUNTS!!

Intertops has kindly agreed to sponsor a contest for the Daytona 500 on Sunday.

The winner will receive a $500 account
The second place finisher will receive a $200 account
And the 3rd-5th place finishers will receive a $100 account.

The rules are simple. Pick the drivers
you feel will finish 1st-5th and number them from 1-5 accordingly.

    Points are scored as follows:

The driver you pick for 1st must win. If he does then you will get 10 points.

The driver you pick for 2nd must finish in the top 2. If he does you will receive 6
    points.

The driver you pick for 3rd must finish in the top 3. If he does you receive 4 points.

The driver you pick for 4th must finish in the top 4. If he does you receive 3 points.

The driver you pick for 5th must finish in the top 5. If he does you get 2 points.

You will also be asked to pick the average speed of the race.

The person(s) with the most points will win. Tiebreakers will be as follows:

    - If one person picks the winner and the other(s) don't, then the person with the winner will finish ahead. The second tiebreaker will be the person(s) who is closest with the average speed.

In the very unlikely case of a tie at that point, the prizes will be split among the winners.

If the race has a dead heat (also very unlikely) then both drivers will be declared to finish in the same spot.

An e-mail address to send the entries to will be posted in this forum tonight.

    Also, check out This Link

for a rundown of all the drivers for the race in the NASCAR column by Hartley. It will be updated by this evening and will list a brief synopsis of every driver in the race and a brief synopsis.

Deadlines for entries will be 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 20, 2000 and all entries will be posted on the site prior to the conclusion of the race.

And make sure to check out intertops.com the next time you want tobet on NASCAR, F1 or CART.

Hartley, I remember a lot of posters giving you a hard time about favoring Intertop a while back. Here you are posting their advertisement. Are you somehow affiliated with them, or being compensated for advertising? It's OK if you are, but I think it's only fair to be open about it.

You have to think back to all the times we've had sportsbook owners, managers, and such coming in and making posts that make it look as if they are unbiased players.

Hartley is posting this because he is running the contest. So, he is affiliated with Intertops as well as Bettorsworld.

      Good Luck !!!

If you notice they do advertise on my NASCAR writeup page. Nothing wrong with that.

And just in case you're wondering, I am NOT entering the contest myself obviously.
