  • Intertops-very slow pay

Isigned up with Intertops for $500 about 10 days before the Super Bowl for the simple reason that they had better playoff lines than the other 3 offshore books I use. As a matter of fact, I was very pleased to get St. Louis at minus 6.5 in the Super Bowl. During the course of the week, I also played some baskets. By Sunday night, I was up about $120 , so I requested a payouton Mon., Jan. 31 for $500, my initial deposit. I had put it all into action, so I didn't think it would be a problem. I also requested payouts from my other offshore books and left a little money in each of the accounts. I play mainly football so I did not need to leave too much in any of the accounts to last the basketball season. Anyway, Intertops was to reverse the charge on my card and though it takes a while, it's been 16 days since i requested the payout and I have yet to receive anything. As a matter of fact, I just got off the phone with them and they said the process had not even begun. Of course, the next thing they said is that they would be glad to put the $500 back into the account for me to play with. We've all heard that before with less reputable books ,but I never expected to hear it fron Interops, but I did. Of course, Mr. Simon Noble is not available, so I get a promise that they will begin the process today and I will have the credit within 10 days. Someone help me and beware of this book in the future. Something is not right if they are trying to hold up a measly $500 payout. All my other offshore books get me my money within 48 hours. What's the point of getting one if the company is not going to pay you when you win.

I am in same boat oddly enough....I received a payout about two weeks ago, but have requested another, and its going on 8 days now...very uncharacteristic of intertops....

Well after losing over $1 million on the Super Bowl (Rams -6 1/2 at 105!!), I hope this is only a slow pay situation ...

I have a significant balance there and I'm not worried one bit. Just like I'm not worried about a large asteroid pulverizing the town I live in. But the delay is odd I must admit. They are one of the biggest offshores in the Caribbean, so it is a little strange. Mls, I don't think the superbowl is a problem for them. I think there are quite a lot of smaller books that should be worried instead. Overall, hard to say where the delay is coming from. But overall, they are one of my most solid outs, and in the end there is surely nothing to worry about. They are big, they pay, and my balance is still over there, nice and safe.

Hope you are right Cons - I keep a pretty good balance there for soccer and I guess I will let it ride.

I for the life of me ---find it very difficult to understand why a book stalls on paying.

I would not patronize such a place. I can't understand someone simply saying "don't worry---moneys safe--- always pay". The issue is as far as I'm concerned ----if a book is in posession of my of MY money and I NEED or simply WANT it----I expect to get it pronto. I can't buy into any other excuse, stall or derailment in my receiving MY own money. If such is true I wouldn't consider Intertops. And this is not about a place being shaky or going out business. If I post up to play---I expect my money when I want it. Until I lose my money to them that money belongs to me---they are just holding it, and I expect it within a reliable projected time depending upon how it's agreed to be sent. This should be elementary proceedure. A book that pays promptly shouldn't be lauded, it is only doing what should be expected.

Dot mix has a good point and I won't be re-upping anytime soon with intertops because of this situation. I have a friend that asked for a payout like 10 days ago and he is getting the same treatment.

Dot Mix, I agree with you. There should be no delays, period. What I meant was that they are one of the most solid, so there is no question about them paying. The delay is another matter, and I understand and agree with you fully. There has to be a reason reason for this, and I'm sure it will be cleared up shortly.

My experience with Intertops has been very good and I can't understand what the problem is while understanding the frustrations the online punters have with the time delay of receiving their loot.

One of the catches with these offshore places is that they try to make the psychological edge in their favour. Stall tactics are one of these deals.

Also the way Intertops sets up its Pay in/Pay out transactions the cost of taking you loot
will cost you unless you take out $1K.

So the idea here is that you play until you make the $1K or.... Or your kitty is dry!!!

Until speedy transactions that are cost effective for both the Online establishment and the Online punter the growth of online
                  sportsbooks will surely be tested...

(I'm not including the scam artists who are in this industry - of which several people on this list have already pointed out!)

Thanks for the comments. I was just about to open an account up with them. Having second thoughts now.

for the record, I've been paid....better late than never...was told 3-5 business days, turned out to be 9 days (7 bus. days)...I wasn't worried, just irritated...itops is usually fast as hell, thats why I'll put up with the jippo 5% stinger on the dep end. If I know my loots safe, its worth the dent I take on the dep....good luck to all....Kevin

I've been with intertops for a few weeks, and the only problem I had with them is trying to make a bet when it is very busy. At those times, their server iv VERY SLOW. O ther than that, I have no complaints. Credit card reversals, I was told 3-6 business days. They did it in four. As far as payouts, I still have all my profits in there, so i cant tell ya about that. Sorry.
Their lines seem to favor the favorites alot, though. I have seen better lines at wsex.

                          good luck!!
