  • If you like Golf, Want Great Odds and can get a non-U.S. address, consider Centrebet

Odds at Centrebet are much better than LVSC's (whose odds really suck this year). And at Centrebet you can bet to "place" whereby you get 1/4 the win odds for a top-4 finish. As well every golfer is listed, so no "field bet".

As a comparison I ran down the odds from both places for golfers listed at ****. Here they are:

    Golfer LVSC's Odds Centrebet Odds
    Duval 6-1 5-1
    Love 10-1 10-1
    Parnevik 10-1 16-1
    Leonard 12-1 20-1
    Mickelson 12-1 14-1
    Couples 12-1 25-1
    Chris Perry 15-1 20-1
    Huston 18-1 20-1
    Sutton 18-1 20-1
    Stricker 20-1 60-1
    Sluman 20-1 25-1
    Estes 20-1 50-1
    Funk 22-1 40-1
    Cink 22-1 25-1
    Tway 25-1 60-1
    Hoch 25-1 30-1
    Tryba 30-1 50-1
    Kelly 30-1 100-1
    Pate 30-1 66-1
    Jones 30-1 80-1
    Mayfair 35-1 80-1
    Magee 35-1 66-1
    Calcavecchia 40-1 66-1
    Kaye 40-1 66-1
    Geiberger 40-1 50-1
    Weir 40-1 40-1
    Lickliter 50-1 125-1
    Day 50-1 40-1
    Haas 50-1 66-1
    Kendall 50-1 125-1

Other decent golfers not listed by ****

    John Cook 40-1
    David Toms 40-1
    Rocco Mediate 50-1
    Harrison Frazar 100-1
    Steve Flesch 100-1
    Brandel Chamblee 125-1
    Kirk Triplett 125-1
    Paul Stankowski 140-1
    J.P. Hayes 140-1
    Mike Hulbert 140-1
    Len Mattiace 200-1
Arnold Palmer 500-1 (still a bad bet at a million to one) .

    I agree totally Hartley.

What's also good about Centrebet is that they provide 72-hole matchups for PGA Tour events and then they provide updated odds on each matchup after the conclusion of every round. So you can close your bet after each round if you want to.

They have also put up matchups for the last 36 holes only; to replace the 72-hole ones that are dead b/c of one player missing the cut.

Why do they exclude US citizens anyway?

Too much hassle I guess. When Junipers took over they made a rule that they will not be accepting U.S. clients after what happened to Lasseters.

Fortunately all other countries are ok.

nothing to do with Jupiter's directly, just that the Hilton chain I think it is owns some of Jupiter's, so hence they are scared/worried about the Feds in the US - hmm, if online gambling is illegal, will they have to sell? Obviously don't like Eurodisney as much as the head of Lasseter's

Hartley, the entire world has better golf prices than the LVSC ratings! Centrebet are often the worst of the Aussie books with prices - they offer plenty but really keep a big % in their favour. And besides, most of you guys can't use them. Try www.sportodds.com.au or DAS down here, or most of the English firms. You can get some huge variations in prices, occasionally the Vegas line is better on a player, very occasionally.

Stanley, caught your website, impresive, you'll be hearing more from me.

Thanks Boris. Starting listing the Sportodds matchups this week. I presume they apply a dead heat rule for ties, yes? I found it hard to find the information from their site. The other Aussie books do; if only the Euro books would as well ...

                  Stanley,
All Aussie books will bet dead-heat rules over 72 holes. They may include ties in 18 hole 2balls, but they'll be clearly marked.
