SPORTSBOOK.COM Very SLow To Pay Winnings
Posted by: Michael Wollert on December 22, 1999 at 22:58:57

All online betters watch out for SPORTSBOOK.COM. They ofer a sports book and Java Version of casino games. Games appear to be like most internet casinos and the sports odds, allthough lower than Vegas or Reno appear to be fair.
Problem is in pay outs. They first CLAIM they credit your credit card used for purchases with your winnings. This is quite a common
practice and is legiamate as they don;t want to send you cash and have you refuse the charge to credit card. Many Online Casinos have this practice and I have no problem with it. It is not as fast as a wire
transfer but it protects the operator.
What I have a problem with is that they are very reluctant to credit your credit card back on a withdrawl and it takes 5 to 10 phone calls to get your withdrawls. Every phone call starts at square one,
meaning they know nothing of the previous attempts to find the withdrawal. My second withdrawal with this outfit took 10 phone calls
and 20 days to show back a credit to my card. Only after I threaten to cancel all charges by them did they credit me for my withdrawal.
I have another withdrawal pending with them where they credited $2200 of a $3200 withdrawal. Maybe they hoped I would not notice that the credit was $1000 short. Trying to get that $1000 has yield
negative results on 4 calls so far (10 days since withdrawal). They just keep saying that it should be there "Tommorrow". This after
spending 20 minutes trying to explain what has happened as again they now nothing of previous attemps to find this money.
My Forth withdrawl represented actually winings over amount purchased. They claim the money is wired within minutes. In
acutalluty it took 5 days. they claim my bank was to blame. "YOUR BANK IS HAVING PROBLEMS HANDLING THE DEPOSIT" was the exact words of the Customer Service agent...WELLS FARGO is the
3rd largest bank in the world...they were not struggling with a $2000 deposit. These people hope you don't chcek on withdrawals.
I RECOMMEND NOT USING ANY SPORTSBOOK USING "EFC" for the transactions. They are all same group and are not only very
rude on the phone but think that the CUSTOMER is always wrong. Don't worry about your purchases with this group...they post to your
credit card account within 2 days and they will tell you straight up that
purchases are a completly different process and post very quickly...you need to wait 3 weeks for withdrawals....remember YOU
have inconvienced them by making a withdrawal. I recommend staing away from SPORTSBOOK.COM SPORTFANATCK.COM
Or any sports book with a phone number of 800-995-5152

All of the credit card transactions for sportsbook.com are done electronically. There is absolutly zero human intervention. When someone makes a withdrawal for an amount that does not exceed his deposits, all such funds are sent back to his credit card. The process by which we send funds back to the credit card are the same as when we charge the credit card, it is all done instantly by the computers at the moment the customer initiates the transactions. Purchases appear on a customers statement faster than credits do and this is simply a function of the way visa works, the difference is about 3-5 days depending on each bank. Ironically enough, we dont get the money from charges until 30 days later yet we are required to post the money for credits instantly.

I have only sent Mr Wollert one bank wire for a withdrawal he made on a Tuesday. The wire was sent Thursday morning from a bank outside the U.S. and thus it takes more than one day to arrive. I am sure the money was in his account by Monday, 5 days later, as he states, because of the weekend.

I dealt with sportsbook.com as my very first online book. I won money playing in the casino, and decided to cash out.

They credited my credit card exactly what I deposited and sent the rest to me via check.

It was a good experience with no hassles.

I left due to interactives at WSEX.

      No complaints here for sportsbook.com
