  • christmas tips for clerks?

Several years ago I tried to give a small christmas tip to be divided among all the clerks at an offshore book I played every day. The manager refused my bequest, citing company policy.

How do players feel about giving christmas tips in general(not in exchange for any special treatment)? Do any books permit customer gratuities to their staff?

At Royal Sports, we graciously accept tips as tokens of appreciation or recognition for a job well done. Our staff of Ticketwriters provide outstanding service throughout the year, and from time to time, our well healed clientele do offer tips. We don't encourage this practice nor do we deny our Royal family members the personal satisfaction and fulfillment that comes from such rewards. This is all handled through the customer service department channels. Sometimes a client establishes a certain rapport with a particular ticketwriter or wins a King's ransom one weekend and feels like sharing his good fortune with the entire staff. Individuals directly receive theirs while the pooled tips are divided by the 78 Royal Ticketwriters at year end. The tip pool currently stand at $ 11,835. We are extremely blessed with an outstanding staff and can't say enough great things about them but then again we expect alot from them. We are very glad when others feel the same way.
