This guy at Abetz (Dman) is running some scam. It's disgracing the sportsbook industry. On the 7th of December, I place a bet on the Islanders for a dime at +250. To my surprise, one hour before game time, I was reviewing my bets, as I usually do daily, and I noticed an email from Dman saying that my bet was void because of an error in the line. No big deal. I could still play it with my local out.
the "proof":
Date: Tue, 7 Dec 1999 16:31:14 -0500
Dear Customer,
There was an error today in the posting of the 2 NHL Washington +
$2.50 for
$500 to win $1,250. Your wager on Ticket #1019 and #1020 have no action.
$1000 will immediately be refunded to your account. This ticket will
remain
in pending wagers until the
completion of the event. At that time, we will adjust your balance to
reflect no action on this ticket. We apologize for this inconvenience.

After reading the email, I checked my account balance to confirm the refund. Everything appeared to be in order with my balance. The bet had been refunded. When I looked at my account the next day, I noticed the balance was short the voided wager($1000). I tried to call them, but they had no number listed, so I emailed them instead. It took four emails over two days to get a response from them.
Their response:

Sorry -- You play was NY islanders Plus 2.50 500 to win 1250. The
line was
correct...
I had a bad line on washington... Your wager was not voided... THe
washington wagers where fowever..

What kind of crap is that??? You said my wagers were
being voided!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not that only the
Washington wagers were being voided. And by the way,
if the Islanders line was correct, then how come it
changed right after I made the wager from +250 to +170
and the Washington line stayed the same. I believe
you are trying to pull a fast one on me. In fact, I
checked my account 30 minutes before game time that
day, and low and behold, the money had been refunded,
so I thought everything was in order. I get on the
next morning and I see the account back at $150. Did
you just decide after NY lost to let the wager stand
anyway, or what???? Is that the way you guys run your
book?
There is no excuse for what your trying to pull on me.
Even if the Washington line had the error(which it
didn't), you still informed me that my bets 1019,1020
were ruled no action. That's the way they should be
ruled. It was your mistake, regardless. I should not
have to pay for it.

your wager was correct.. We had a problem on the washington side of
the
point spread. You where notified accidentally. Islanders Pk +2.5
was
the correct line....

Well, that's my story. It seems to me that even if they did email me accidentally, that they should be responsible an honor their original email. I suggest you stay away from ABETZ. www.abetzcasino.com
They are very unprofessional. For example, today in hockey, they had Phi pk-140 Tor pk -120. They also had Dal pk-150 StL pk-150. It's totally ridiculous. With these type of lines, they won't have to pay you one way or the other. This seems to happen daily.
Any help or comments would be appreciated
