  • incompetent Intertops...

Is it just me, or is anyone else having trouble with Intertops' limits or their service? I can't speak for others, but personally I find it annoying when a sportsbook constantly promised you one thing and consistently fails to deliver.

Intertops assured me I would get a limit of 1000 on soccer games on game day, and that this would automatically go up from the usual 250. The key word here is "automatically."

I have asked for it to be automatic because I don't feel like calling Antigua to raise the limit every single time I want to place a wager. In addition, this supposedly "large" operation doesn't seem to be large enough to supply a toll-free number for its customers...

Well, for the first two weeks I had to call and complain each and every time I wanted to place a decent bet, because on game day the limits were not automatically raised as PROMISED time and time again...

I was told the usual crap like "I'm sorry, the limits will go up automatically from now on." After my constant inquiries and complaints they seemed to have taken care of this, but I just checked today and it's back to square one.

Is this the most incompetent book out there or what??? Their customer service is the worst I have dealt with in this industry, no doubt about that. Many times I've emailed them a question and I received some incomprehensible answer. It's like they read the first sentence and don't bother reading the rest. Sometimes I ask again and either get the reply I'm looking for, still get a silly answer, or get no answer at all.

I even emailed the owner about certain aspects of the business. That was a few weeks ago, and I still haven't received a reply..........

Right now the only word that comes to mind when I think of Intertops is... INCOMPETENCE. Is it just me getting singled out with this level of service, or has anyone else had similar trouble with this book?

Toll Free Number is on their front page. It begins with 1-877.

Cons, I have no idea how you can be having problems with Intertops. Especially after all the times I have raved about the wonders of this marvelous sportsbook. How can that be possible?

Seriously, Intertops is a complete joke as sportsbook. They have low, unstable limits
that fluctuate. They'll kick your ass out if you win, and accuse you of fraudulent activity and syndicate betting.

They haven't got the foggiest notion about American sports, and are seemingly too cheap, stubborn, or ignorant to bring in a true BM to oversee American sports and maximize the profit potential in this area.

With the millions and millions they have made--simply by virtue of being one of the first on-line casino/sportsbooks--you'd think they could afford to design a state-of-the-art on-line betting site. Again, they fail.

I'm tight with the people who put out Webster's Dictionary. They actually listen to my suggestions. Next year, when the new edition comes out, look up "Joke." "Intertops" will be listed as a synonym.

          Hartley,
A 1-877 toll free number isn't much good outside North America....

Let me see... Sportingbet toll free numbers: Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Malaysia, UK, USA.

DAS: Australia, USA, Canada, United Kingdom, South Africa, Malaysia, Singapore, New Zealand, Hong Kong.

It can't be that hard, can it?

Unfortunately, calling Intertops (Antigua) and continually getting put on hold at a buck a minute isn't my thing. If they were competent, I would only have to call them once...

No offense, but if you can dole out a dime a game on soccer, a few phone calls shouldn't break you. But, I understand your overall gripe.

it's not a big deal in the outside world when it's perfectly legal to ring the other side of the world to place a bet, but if it was the States or Canada.......

The CEO of Intertops has been in touch with me recently, and I was assured that toll-free lines across Europe will be implemented in the near future.

In addition, the limits apparently cannot be set to go up automatically - they have to be raised manually each time. I thought that all it took was for the limits to be entered into the system once, when in fact that is not the case.

This clears it up, and hopefully things will run smoothly from now on. And hopefully more toll-free lines should be available soon as well.
