sharp vs square lines

Is it true that if the books find out you're a sharp bettor they will feed you different lines? Even if you place your bets over the nets can they have a different screen when you log in? IF so I would love to see which lines they feed the sharps so I could bet the opposite of the lines that are adjusted for them.

In the old days bookies would not have huge offices. They could always give you a higher number if you always bet the Jets, Giants, Mets, and Rangers ect. It was alot easier with a couple customers. The reason they could was their players didn't have access to lines or other books.

Today the computor systems books are the using, could if they wanted give every single player a different line. This is a touchy subject. Some think there is nothing wrong with this. Others belive your not being honest with your customers. I myself have learned through experience that it's not a good policy. A big customer found out we were giving him higher numbers on all the New York teams. He was just playing and playing. (We thought were being sharp, but with guys like this YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE!!!!!) Well one day he found out what we were doing. Well you realize after the fact how dumb this is. Being a big player, one who never plays the so-called hot sides, you almost lose the customer. And for what. Being sharp to a happy go lucky big bettor!!!!!

Their are many books that evaluate their customers. If they bet favorites, they will put you on a certain line. Same thing for dog players. In fact any kind of player can be and will be treated like this at some books. The computor can do anything.

Believe it or not. Books that post their numbers on services give their players different lines. Not too bright.

Do this if you can. Sign up with some books. Bet a certain way at each book. Soon they will put you on a different line. Then take advantage of the new lines they will give you. When they find out you did this, they will put you on the wiseguy line forever.........................

This is another way of telling what books care about their customers and the ones that could care less if they played or strayed..

wow thats pretty interesting stuff. but what if you just view the lines and not log in? can they even adjust the lines on the demo?

If you look at the Intertops lines before and after you log on, and they're not one and the same, you've got a problem. Which is why I don't think this particular book does this. But with others, where only telephone betting is available, maybe with lines displayed on the web but often not up to date, you've got a real problem...

Mike, the lines you view in the demo will be the same for everyone. Once you log on though, the book could have you flagged any number of ways. The possibilities are endless.

It should be noted though, that there are plenty of online books that deal one line and one line only.

There really can't be too much of this going on. I bet online regularly at 12 different books and I always bet dogs. If any of my books were adjusting the lines against me it would be pretty obvious and it's never happened.

It's not to say that the books that do it deal EACH and EVERY player a line according to his/her style of play.

A book may deal two lines, maybe three. You may not notice it if in fact any of your 12 do it.

But I'd be willing to bet that of the 12 you use, the guy who bets recreationally a buck here and a buck there isn't getting the same numbers as you at more than a few.
