They've been taking a pounding here and elsewhere, and rightfully so, for their software problems after the software "upgrade". I'm here to say a few good things. For the last week and one half, the software has worked great (at least on my WEBTV), and I received a Credit Card Chargeback on Tuesday for a withdrawal request I made on Saturday. Hopefully all the problems are solved and it'll be smooth sailing for the rest of the Football season.

Big Book Update

These idiots can not do anything right. For the second time in less than one week, I have bets sitting in their "open bets" section for several days. It is now Thursday and I still am waiting for them to credit my account for the Jets game Sunday and the Monday night game. I have emailed them about this and included my account number. It took a day to get back to me and that was to ask me for the confirmation numbers of the bets. So this is a full day wasted. They had my account number, why not just look in the open bet section and see the damn numbers yourself!!!
Well, they have had my numbers for 10 hours now and still nothing. Maybe if I am lucky, they will have the bets from last weekend credited to my account by this Friday.
Also, they "updated" their site again this week and since then I have had nothing but problems getting around their site.(using webtv)
I ,like everyone else, started there only for the free starting bet. I have run the $20 up to $160.
However it's not really $160 if they never get around to crediting your account for you wins. I say STAY AWAY from the BIG SHNOOK. Unless you like a site always being "upgraded", winning bets being lost or not credited for several days, and very slow reply's to your e-mails. If you don't mind that, then this place is for you!!!

I--- like many ---took up the Big Books freebee $20 offer and then posted with a small amount of money. I doubled this money in about a month--- but not without the most time consuming and torturous problems of constant "error messages", dead pages,dead links, making bets only to get a message "sorry----we have no line on this game" (after you clicked into a posted bet option link) . Just horrendous, aggravation and many, many plays I could never get in because of site overload or whatever. Then they put up a new site and it got 5 times worse. It takes many time consuming progrssions to place a bet and of late many of the bets are being rejected as unable to be accepted so I've gone off and bet elsewhere only to find the bet is sometimes registered and stuck in a 'bet pending" bin. This is after being told the Big Book cannot verify the bet from E-Banx(their money holding company) and the account will not be debted. Last nite I sent in 2 hoop plays buying up both teams a half a point. I went through the tedious bet progressions only to have both bets rejected ala previous described reason. Came back later and lo and behold---both bets were recoreded in my bet-pending bin but no 1/2 point buy-ups included. One team blew easily and the other --ILLINOIS at 2 1/2 lost and would have been a push but they didn't register the 1/2 point buy up. I was pissed and let them know and told them I expected to hear from them as this is more about principle than money cause both plays were small. As expected----have heard nothing back today.
I could go on and on. Have to agree with previous person. This book is the worlds worst and there is no way in hell they will let you talk with a manager or service rep! Their answer regardless of how persistent you are is "send e-mail describing problem". You got a game going off in 5 minutes and you don't know where the f**k your bet stands in their system and they want an e-mail!!! Unless this joint got itself straightened out and understands customer relations I couldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. Just not worth the effort,aggravation and their chicken sh*t cowardly manner of avoiding personal confrontation.

As a former big book bettor, I miss their favorite biased lines, but their software problems were too much too deal with. My question is has anyone dealt with Grand Prix, they are owned by the same group and are not advertised as much as the big book, thus they may not have the overload problems of big book. I know they use the same lines as big book and would make a good out if the site worked properly.

I used all three ebanx books last year with no problems. This season has been awful. Bigbook is easily the worst. Site problems I can understand but its the utter and complete lack of customer service that really makes them the worst.
I am totally fed up with ebanx. I had requested a cashout from BigBook and it took a month to arrive via mail. Ebanx is holding the money to get extra interest. I wanted the cashout Oct. 18. Finally they proceesed it Nov. 8. I received it Nov. 23. The postmark read Oct. 15. They held that check for a week after processing it. This after I already waited 3 weeks trying to get my cashout in. I can't count how many e-mails and calls I did.
I cashed out from Mayan and Grand Prix because of this. The cashouts there were credit card reversals, which take about 30 seconds to do. It only took ebanx 3 weeks, after more e-mails and calls. I was nice to them throughout, so its not a case of them trying to get back at someone who yells at them on the phone. They deserved to be yelled at though. I won't use ebanx books again ever.
At Carib, I recently asked for a cashout on a Monday. On tuesday, they posted the FedEx tracking number in my account and the Fedex was waiting for me Tuesday night when I got home from work. Kudos!
Betmaker just paid me today after I requested a cashout on Monday. Kudos!

I firmly believe that these operations that delay payment and/or are horribly rated on these forums by legitimate people should be mailed copies of these posts. Maybe some of these places don't even know what is being said about them. I think the more people that take the time to cut n paste the complaints and mail them to the respective books letting these places know there are lots of people out there that do not appreciate their business tactics and are going out of their way to warn others, the quicker these places will shape up or be gone.
I'll do my part and hope others will too.
