Ajax,
You probably won't find any deposit books who do solely because the potential loss is so great to you, that the computer must take out that potential loss in order to cover itself when you make the play, you would have to keep a large deposit on hand to play them. But you might find a credit book that does. I don't know of any.
Fred, Action points as a book I worked for years ago offered, are, when you play a game your win or loss is determined by how much over or under the spread the final score turns out. For instance, a 7pt favorite getting beat straight up by 5pt might cost you $400 on a $100 play. On the other side if the 7pt fav wins by 20pt you could win $400 for your $100 play.

IT IS MOSTLY ASSOCIATED WITH FOOTBALL. IT IS A TYPE OF WAGER WHEN THE MORE YOUR TEAM BEATS THE SPREAD BY THE MORE YOU WIN.FOR EXAMPLE,IF YOU BET A DOG +7 IN FOOTBALL AND THEY ONLY LOSE BY 3,YOU WIN 4 TIMES WHATEVER YOU BET PER POINT. CONVERSLY, IF THE FAVORITE IN THIS EXAMPLE WINS BY 11,YOU LOSE 4.4 TIMES WHATEVER YOU BET PER POINT.YOU CAN, AND SHOULD CAP THE PLAY AT SAY 20 SO A BLOWOUT WONT KILL YOU. SOME BOOKS CALL THESE POWER PLAYS.

ajax,
As far as I know, the following books take action point wagers on basketball: WWTS, Olympic, ABC Islands, Margarita, and Looselines. I think Premiere League does as well. The only book I know of that takes action point wagers on football but not on basketball is Post-time.
Let me know if my information is accurate.

Ajax, Why don't you give CRIS a ring they might be able to accomodate you with this if you were to call 1-800-5-YOU-WIN; when you reach them make sure that you ask for John Melton if you don't already have an account he will be glad to help you out in setting one up.

www.sportingindexusa.com is probably the best in the business. They are based out of the UK but now have a US section, with toll-free number and all...
They are also regulated by the SFA. Only four books in the world are regulated by them. They basically regulate the stock market brokers, so your bets enjoy the same security as if you were buying shares.

Boy do I feel stupid, I just posted a question about Sporting Index USA, now I read this and it answers alot. Cons, if you wouldn't mind would you expand a little more on Sporting Index, such as your own expierence and maybe be some advice for anyone new to spread betting. Thanks.
