SIA, I, too, feel reassured that you're responding to these posts. I've been with you for several months now and have had zero problems. It's nice getting an email confirming all wagers, so if I did make a mistake I can rectify it right away. Keep up the good work!

...and SIA:
What authorative power does this INTERNET GAMING COUNCIL possess? Who authorizes it to adjudicate anything? Sounds to me like a powerful sounding judicial body formulated to make fools like us think there is a official authorized governing agency in Cyber Bookie Land!!! Who authorizes this council to do what and who empowers them to do anything much less sit up there in cyber-space and deem accepted wagers null and void.
Sounds like this INERNET GAMING COUNCIL may also be based on a Mowhawk Indian reservation.
You DO take us all to be fools!

Hi
As I said, the AFL issue is very complicated and was covered at the time in a detailed post. It arose after a detailed investigation carried out by SIA. Basically, the person not paid was connected with the company who had provided (incorrect) AFL odds to SIA. All the facts were handed over to the IGC and SIA complied with all their recommendations.
Walleyek, glad to hear you're using the optional email receipts. As a matter of interest, can anyone comment on how useful it is to print out your outstanding bets? Would it be helpful to have a printer-friendly page with all your bets. Or a facility for emailing a summary of outstanding bets?

Very impressive looking logo for "Interactive Gaming Council" on their website. But you know what? I'm NOT impressed.
I do not see a one of Bettorworld's recommended books on the left on that list of memebers so that council does nothing for me. When I see books that sponsor here en masse on that council then I might take notice.
What has the Interactive Gaming Council done for us the player? Has anyone here had them aid in resolution of disputes with bookies or help them get paid? Any legitimate comments from forum memebers regarding specific off-shores that IGA interceeded in a players behalf??

Dot Mix, This is the same IGC that had Intersphere as one of its members (Sports International). For a long time the IGC refused to remove them. I got an email from scamster Michael Simone who ran Sports International and his email came directly from Intersphere....so I could never understand how they were unclear that Intersphere and Sports International were not one in the same. That destroyed their credibility with gamblers and to be honest I'm doubtful that any gamblers out there could really care less what the IGC has to say. I don't know the details of this particular situation but I do know any decisions the IGC makes should not be viewed as the word of God, especially when they were befriending the devil (Intersphere).

Dot Mix,
I think Bettorsworld is a great site and trustworthy. Let me point out something for you. Is Del Mar on the list? Is CRIS on the list? Is Looselines on the list? Is Margarita int. on the list? These are some of the best books in the world and they are not on this list.
Not being on this list does not mean that they are not any good. It does not mean anything at all. The ones on the list bettorsworld members thinks are solid and this is good. But there are many more that are very, very good books.
That is all...........

Once again Polar has absolutly no idea what he is talking about. Cris , Del MAr, And even Looslines are on the list. YOur question about Main Street Links on the left is this. They are paid bettorsworld advertisers.
Take care Steve
Polar once again you have me falling off my chair . Are you comparing Looslines to the likes of DEL MAR and CRIS
You did it agian
Amazed me . I keep thinking you cant do it again

I'll buy into what you are saying. Your correct------just because a book chooses not to advertise here doesn't mean there is anything wrong with them. However ===I don't see any of the books you mentioned as members of "INTERACTIVE GAMING COUNCIL" either.
I's likely that books who advertise here probably pay a good buck to do so. It is also obvious if they do this, that it is a worthwhile investment in generating clients for their business. Month after month very few of the names change on the list. At the same time----the SPORTSBOOKS that buy into the list expose themselves to very "close to home" forum scrutiny and it behooves them to follow up their advertising expenses with good services and prompt payment. Also--I believe that Jeff and company would not tolerate a bad egg who consistently causes problems and has complaints to be allowed to continue advertising. So in essence this place becomes a sort of a Better Business Bureau. Everyone doesn't have to join the BBB, but generally those that do subscribe to some ethics in doing business, and normally have intentions to be around for the long haul. We---- the gamblers in cyber-space have little else to hang our hats on except strength in vocal numbers, and a Bettorsworld web-site that is a successfull enough business for the owners realize the strength of their business depends on looking out for the gamblers by endorsing solid off-shores that don't hassle and pay on time.
I don't believe Jeff and company would accept advertising from a book that constantly is troublesome to their clients, and I believe they will intercede with fairness to both sides in mind. Thats what I think you get here.
