This morning at about 10:35cst, when i was making some of my plays at CRIS, the operator said the system was down and i needed to call back.

Did anyone else get this message, the reason i question it was because their lines on Don Best kept on changing all the while their "system" was down.

I watched the clippers line go from 183.5 to 180, and b/c i wasted my time trying to get down with CRIS first, it also moved at ABC before i could get a chance to hit it there as well.

Well, I am not trying to make things worst. But I am trying to call them 10 minutes and there was no answer.

I don't mind so much that they were having problems with the phones, that is understandable. However my issue is how could the system be down, and the line continue to move?

It wasn't as if the line moved all at once (signalling a delay of sorts) rather the line moved 3 times, (all against me) before their system became "available".

Just wondering what the deal was, i am sure a plausible explanation is available, i am just wondering what it is.

Not directly commenting on your experience Mr Phaedrus BUT - and this sound like gambling blasphemy - but CRIS has gone downhill in the last 4 years. I have supported them in many posts because they are still VERY good but the truth is they are starting to become vega-tized.

One example - 5 years ago or so CRIS (Caribi at the time) had totals on nearly EVERY college basketball game and had them up EARLY. Inside sources told me they made money on these things despite the big moves.

5 years later, the only college basketball totals offered is the pathetic lineup offered by the STARDUST and the ilk.

Furthermore limits, 5 later the limits are still the same despite what must be much bigger volume in their shop. Anybody ever hear of inflation?

Look anybody is free to run their store how they want - if we don't like it we don't have to bet there. But it seems to me the claim to be King of Hill is ripe for change.

When CRIS was using all the College basketball totals the problem that came about I think was this. They would write 5 dime plays on sides, 3 dimes, 4 dimes, 8 dimes. Then when they put these totals up, all of a sudden they were writing bets for 2 dimes, 1 dime, a nickel. It was a mad house. Just for the totals. It ruined the action on the rest of the board. It became a problem, because they could not write other business. Everyone wanted the totals. For two straight hours the only bets taken were totals!

I will get in trouble for saying this, but In my opinion this place needs a top flight manager. This place could earn a whole lot more with a different phylosophy. For the action they get, the amount of players, of all the places they should not have to panic and move their numbers so drastickly to get buy-backs. I don't understand how they get themselves in this position on almost ever game! If I was involved in this operation I would be concerned............

This shouldn't happen that often.

P.S. About being the king of the hill. This is not going to change anytime soon. Did anyone notice yesterday when they put up the Hou/Dal, N.J./S.A. games. Less than 30 seconds Olympic put numbers up, then less than two minutes later more than half the other CLONE JOINTS had these games up. DA..

Also if I was involved in this company, I would start our own service. Because everyone needs the CRIS line before they can open!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thus everyone would need our service.

CRIS is the real line service everyone uses. plain and simple........
