  • Kings Bet Doesn't Pay

    Dear Bettorsworld,

I would like to inform you about a sportsbook in Costa Rica by the name of Kings Bet, 1-877-864-8089. Kings Bet is owned by Larry Victor and managed by Josh. For over 6 weeks, I've been owed over $130,000 and have not received one cent. Please inform any potential players that Kings Bet DOES NOT PAY!My problem has also been posted in the************.com, and the Las Vegas Sporting Newspaper did a full article on Kings Bet. Any help you could offer me would be greatly appreciated.

    Toby

    Just wondering,

How much did you post up? How much did you win? What was your original post up?
Were you ever paid by them? Why would you put so much into a book which is not listed in Bettorsworld? You must be very trustworthy.
Just was wondering. Best of Luck in collecting.

    Groz

Although it hurts to see such an incident, it really is hard to find sympathy for those that choose sportsbooks like this.

If someone tells you to follow him into a dark alley, and you then get mugged, whose fault is it?

Why the hell did you post up with them in the first place?!?!?!

I suppose Toby just stumbled upon this forum a little too late. You'd be surprised just how many people out there (even those running sportsbooks I discovered this week) have never heard of Bettorsworld.

Many of us have found Bettorsworld only after having the same misfortune as Toby.

You're right, a lot of people start off with such books. It's unfortunate, because they're in a no-win situation. Lose money and you lose, win money and you lose even more, especially since you often can't get your deposit back.

But being owned $130,000 is a lot of money.

Toby, try and do what PaulieDV and I did a long time ago and have their ISP cut them off.

Cons, they advertise at Sportsbook.com, heavily travelled site and from what I understand, expensive advertising. This could be a good thing depending on whether Sportsbook.com is receptive or not.

Toby, my suggestion is that you contact Sportsnetwork.com and let them know your story. Perhaps they can be of help but not sure if the situation there is anything like it is here. Unfortunately as we've seen with College and Pro Football Newsweekly, even though they carry 3 pages of ad space each week for scam operation Paramount Sports, the paper continues to be read and they continue to feature the ad just as they did 21st Century last season.

              Sting,

do you mean Sportsbook.com or Sportsnetwork.com?

Hard to believe that a sportsbook will allow others ads on their website, I believe you mean Sportenetwork.com.

Since you know a lots info about those Starnet books, could you tell me the relationship between Sportsbook.com and OTL Sports (service)?

              Thanks.

                      ahhh...sorry, sportsnetwork.com, not sportsbook.com.

Ray, offhand don't know about a relationship between Sportsbook.com and OTL (not even familar with OTL). I'll do some sniffing around though in the meantime.

                          Toby,

You should be able to research the domain name at http://www.networksolutions.com/ , and I think a few other places will also let you investigate.

You can check out what Internet Service Provider hosts their web site, and then start World War III with them. None of that, "Could you please..." You need to hit these guys really hard. Accuse them strongly of hosting and thus supporting illegal activity, and that they have now been informed of this and if they continue hosting the site then they will be doing this knowingly. Bombard the ISP's webmaster, head office, customer service, anyone you can. I went straight to the webmaster, and the Wagersport operation that was ripping off clients back in the day disappeared from the web once and for all.

But before you ignite an all-out war with the ISP for hosting this scam of an operation, contact one of the top people in charge at Kings Bet and have a lengthy talk with them. Tell them that you'll take strong action against them, and that it isn't something that you want to do, but that they are leaving you no choice.

How much did you post up to begin with? Is it not possible to recover your deposit from the books, or just the amount you have won? I doubt they will pay you $130,000 but maybe you can "compromise" and get at least a fraction of the money back. It could cover your deposit and part of your profits.
