Underdog7, I have no interest in buying a house and settling down. I'm a true wandering Jew. I want all of my assets liquid. And, as I've stated in others posts, the IRS and I are already on unfriendly terms, and somehow I don't anticipate the relationship improving. I don't plan on being in this country for more than a few more years at the most. And if I feel government heat, I'll be gone sooner than that. I'm going to the Carribbean in January to check it out for living and betting. I've been to the Dominican Republic and Costa Rica, but those places aren't ideal for me. I'm planning on checking out St. Marteen, Aruba, Curacao, and Margarita Island.

Reno - first thing it came to my mind was IRS. What you said made sense. We had same thing in mind but your projection is much sooner than mine. There is no way I will retire in this country. Good luck to you pal.
