  • Action Sports Wagering Sint Maarten

I have always tried to post in this forum the truth, or what I believed to be the truth, so I now must correct some of my earlier posts. I have learned that Action Sports Wagering of Sint Maarten now is fully Licensed. They hold a Federal License from the Federal Government of the Netherlands Antilles in Curacao, and a Local License from the Island of Sint Maarten. They are and always have been a Sports Book that has operated above board. They are one of the Sports Books that makes the fastest payouts to their customers. They pay out to their customers on the same day you request your money. I just wanted to make this post to correct my earlier posts which were in error. I would highly advise any customer to give this book a try if they are looking for a new out. I want to apologize for publicly posting my dispute with my ex partner in this forum. You know how it can be when partners split up, but this was not the place for us to air our differences. Action Sports has and still is a Sports Book that is run by professionals and take very good care of their customers. I am no longer a part of Action Sports as I have moved on to other endevors, but they are a top sports book and with their 5% juice is a very good place for anybody interested in posting up with another sportsbook, as most customers out there like to use several offices to wager with to find the best numbers to wager on a game. I personally would rank them with any of the other top Sports Books listed in this forum.

    Sincerely,
    Leo Walters

Are you nuts? Do you think we are fools?

It seems you settled your dispute with your ex-partner and this is part of the settlement agreement. Rescind your negative posts and the two of you can make a final setttlement on money.

I mean you used to tout the place, then you bashed and exposed it and now all of a sudden we are supposed to accept it as a "top rated sportsbook????????"

I'll go with your middle posts.

      This one is a classic!

Nothing presonal, but IMO, I won't trust anything that Leo had said in this forum.

      Let's take a quick review,

      1. Leo said, "Action Sports is a good book".

      2. Leo said, "Action Sports is not a good book".

      3. Leo keep bashing Action Sports because he has some personal affairs that haven't been settled.

      4. Leo started to tout a new book.

      5. Leo said Action Sports WAS a good book and he was wrong.

I really feel sorry for Action Sports and that "new book". No matter what the truth is, they deserved to be better than this.

      Way to go, Leo.

This post is only here to say the License to operate on the island of St. Maarten came through in late August. My bashing of the book was simple, I was warning people if a person running a sports book was able to screw his partner, anything is capable of happening. I have not resolved my differences with my ex partner, Plain and simple. I just found out the Sint Maarten license did come through in August and I posted it to correct my earlier posts that they were un-Licensed. It is up to the Bettor to make their own judgements as far as how good the book is. As far as the new place I was touting, I have no interest in the business, I just moved my customers there when I left Action Sports. It is the same there, it is up to the Bettors who use the sports Book to make their own judgement.

          Hey Leo,
I worked for a book in Curcacao and I would like for you to tell the forum what a license from the government means to players who post there and how it guarantees the stablilty of the book.

              Hey intheknow and Check One,

What's it like to work in an offshore book? What's the pay? What's the chance to move-up for somebody who knows what's going on and shows up every day? Whick location do you has the biggest demand for offshore employees?

I really don't want to say, but it was for a short time only, online and phones. But during that time I was involved with keeping the books for the company and can tell you that after paying for the license, which was necessary to get work permits. The govt was not in any way involved in the operation, didn't check on escrow funds and had no checks on how money was brought in and out of the accounts, and I see no difference in paying off a local and paying off the govt. They both just make DOING business there easier, but as far as a guarantee that players will get paid, that's the biggest crock ever. This license BS is something to make players look like a book is solid when in fact the only way is reputation and asking around.

The License from any country is worth about the same as a roll of Charmin. It is all up to the integrity of the sports book which unfortneatly is found out by trial and error by the Bettors who post up there. some of the best books are in countries that are loosely or not regulated at all. I don't exactly know the details of the licensing in Curacao. Most of the old books that were there were sub licensed, and many of those books are ones that went out of business and a couple of good ones still remain and a few moved on to other locations, some of those who left and are operating elsewhere are some of the top books in the business. The new Sports Book I had been posting about, which I have no personal interest in for the record, is licensed in Curacao with a hotel/casino, so I would give it much more credibility than a Sports Book on an island that has little or no licensing regulations. From what I know about Curacao I believs a bond has to be posted, but I am not sure. If you go down the list of top sports books, some are in strictly regulated Governments, and some are not licensed or regulated at all. As far as I am concerned, unless it was in the USA and our A**hole polititions legalized telephone and internet wagering, then the License would mean something because it would be regulated like Atlantic City and Las Vegas gambling already is.

                  Personal to IN THE KNOW:

If you are working in Curacao, why don't you do some investigating there and tell us here about what the requirements are to be licensed and how you are regulated by the government there. I don't know much about the exact regulations. Like I said earlier the new book I was posting about is licensed with the hotel/casino there, and I believe the hotel/casino obtained the license.

                    Leo,

                    are you still drunk?

First you wrote in this thread,

"I would highly advise any customer to give this book a try if they are looking for a new out...Action Sports has and still is a Sports Book that is run by professionals and take very good care of their customers."

                    Then you came back with,

"My bashing of the book was simple, I was warning people if a person running a sports book was able to screw his partner, anything is capable of happening."

                    Isn't it funny or what?

An excellent example of why you guys should bet in REGULATED environments such as Australia and Gibraltar so that you know you will get paid, and that if you have a beef, there is an independent party that can adjudicate on the dispute for you.

                          Leo -
A bit dated but it used to be 100 dimes. Recently the government has made available Independent Gaming and 2 mega Bit earth station licensing. The Earth Station license came about due to an exclusivity aggreement that Antellicom Has (Federal Gov Carrier). The stipulation was if they could provide competitive service. Which they had trouble doing.

With TISS out it seems there is a better bed of operation there. Seems TISS was constantly tied up in politics causing a squeeze on the books there. In any case the license there is 100 thousand dollar vendors permit. Have to sell alot of hot dogs. The cost of employee's there is I think the amoung highest in the industry 10 - 15 dollars an hour.

A note on licensing: What is in a license is there really any guarantee to the player.

The TISS license required an escrow account of all post up funds. TISS spot checked it. But never was any action taken. And they certanly did not guarantee the players funds.

Although, Some very good books came out of Curacao and will be there for at least 10 more years. 12 year licensing.

Oasis, Gold Medal, Sports Market/Acesgold, Royal to name a few.

The industry has exploded - players are being provided with more outs than ever before. Also, the scam opertunities have risen.

But for a new book a post in this forum could be less than rewarding. Seems as time goes by more of the scams will be filtered out. The seasoned player sometimes now best. But why so harsh on a new book. I may be wrong but seems 9 out of 10 are legit. Seems they have to start somewhere.

Seems Costa Rica is a much better way to go.

The problem was TISS was sub-licensing to anybody who could come up with the 100k bond and come up with enough money to buy all of their equipment from TISS and alot of those people were not bookmakers, just people who had money who thought it was an easy business and alot of them went out of business. The TISS guys must have made a bundle. Even Costa Rica is not very strictly regulated but there are some very good books there. I even have money posted up with one of them. No matter what jurisdiction or of they are, or are not licensed it does not matter. It is up to the integrity of the people running the operation and as in every business the cream will rise to the top, and unfortuneatly this is a new business and that is just slowly beginning to happen.

Excuse me fellows don't you think it would be better if those of us that "KNOW" where the books are keep it that way this includes the rate of pay and so on and so forth.
