Some good info in the betmaker thread that I think should be in it's own thread.
As much as people put down the idea of offering 5% vig for lifetime of the account, books have been doing this for a while and have survived. Majestic is one book that has been successful with this as well. One of the pluses there is that they operate an online casino that makes up the difference from what I understand.
A question was asked concerning money transfers between books. In addition to the Antiguan books, some Costa Rican books offer money transfers between one another as well. Certainly a plus if Top of the World were to do this. There are some good books in Curacoa (probably spelled wrong). I've heard good things about this island and it would appear they have learned from mistakes of the past. St. Kitt's does license books but the problem there is that while they are currently studying Antigua's regulatory system to adapt something similar - the skill level and pay level makes things difficult. However, it should be noted the government there is very serious about having a key role in this industry and it's really just a matter of getting the right people to get this thing rolling.
Leo, I am curious as to whether this book would be offering an online casino as well. Casablanca sent me the information related to their own "in-house" casino software they will be offering out on the market shortly. Looks like an excellent product that I would suggest yourself and others take a look at.
