i would think that your margins on the strip would me much higher than that of the offshores due to the lack of talent playing you and the abundance of tourists.

Chin-We have way more overhead than islands.
Not to mention taxes. In general, the book is provided as a service to our table and slot customers so they don't leave the joint to bet a game. With the wise guys and sharp players, it takes a lot of tourist/local parley cards and such to make up for it. Our margins run about 3-4%-net win. If we could do without a book we would, and just put more slots/another pit in(more win per square foot), but lucky for me we don't-I like the book.
