The Feds shut down BetOnSports.com last week, a publicly traded company in Britain that became the focal point of a U.S. crackdown on offshore casinos, where gamblers anywhere in the world can use the online sites to wager on sporting events and play casino games like blackjack from their personal computers.
The crackdown prompted speculation that this could be the beginning of the end for the online gaming industry. But others think it won't -- or shouldn't -- be stopped.
