Here are all of Thursdays Picks,
Buffalo+17.5 over Connecticut(2units)
I definitely think this is the best game on the board for Thursday. The Uconn team is not the same team it was last year. They must replace 22 seniors including, record-setting QB Dan Orlovskey. Buffalo on the other hand is returning 14 starters, 7 on offense and 7 on defense, and there is a sense of optimism in the air in Buffalo. This is definitely Buffalo’s most talented football team in years. Uconn will be breaking in a new QB with a weak “O” line and an all-around inexperienced offense, other than leading big east rusher RB Cornell Brockington. The Uconn offense will be going up against a very tough defense in Buffalo, which finished in the upper half, in total defense in the Mac Conf. Buffalo’s biggest strength might be stopping the run with 5 seniors vying for positions on the D line. Uconn well definitely look to run a lot with their young offense, but with their inexperience on the “O” line and Buffalo strength on the D line, it well be very tough for them to get much on the ground. Buffalo’s biggest concern is their offense, although they do return 4 runnings backs that rushed for 1,464 and 16 touchdowns last season. Not to mention, Buffalo does have experience on the offensive side of the ball, as they are going up against a young Uconn defense, which is also expected to be without starting DT Afa Anoai, and starting SS Donta Moore, is suspended. Given that, I feel Buffalo’s D can dominate Uconns young offense, and keep this one close.
Washington-28 over Idaho(1unit)
Min/Tulsa Over 59(1unit)
Houston+9 over Oregon(1/2unit)
Good Luck!
