  • Bonus Rules A Joke At Rio...

I tried to get back in action by sending Rio 10 dimes and they told me they'd give me a 10% bonus on my money. I would have loved to get started with a nice $1,000 addition to my account.

They told me I had to leave the money in 30 days...

No problem (as I was planning on staying in at least 'til the end of basketball season)...

They told me I had to play 10X rollover to get my bonus. Again no problem (as I could do that easily).

They told me I couldn't draw out my winnings until I played that 10X rollover...

    Big Problem.

If Rio or any other book thinks I am going to leave $110,000 in my account until I draw dime one, they are stupider tha I am.

Rio is a good book, maybe even a great book, they've been around for a zillion years, offer half points on $500 internet bets, seem to be very very solid, but give me a break. I don't leave 110k in ANY book. Sports Market/Aces Gold taught me that.

Rio...Why don't you say what you really mean, WE DON'T OFFER BONUSES. I could live with that.

Not letting me draw out any amount above and beyond the initial deposit and bonus is just plain bogus.

Basically what you're saying Rio, is if I lose I lose, if I win I lose. Anyone who's stupid enough to fall for that scam deserves to lose their money, no offense.

Its not just for large players, the bad deal goes all the way down to the smallest players too. Put in $500 and you can't touch a dime until you have $5,500 in your account if you win. So basically you're wishing for yourself to lose.

    Huh?

The average player will run to sign up with these books when they see they can get a bonus but most don't read the fine print. Then when they go to make a withdrawal, they get a nice surprise. I's rather get reduced juice or money back on your losses with no stipulations rather than some crazy bonus you can never get.

Most average players never have to worry about making a withdrawal. Sad but true.

At Rio, rollover requirements vary depending on the size of the deposit submitted, and are calculated by adding the sum deposited to the bonus awarded and multiplying times the applicable rollover.

If you accept a bonus, this WILL restrict your ability to withdraw funds UNTIL the rollover requirement has been met. If you meet the requirement the same day, you can request a payout the same day. NO withdrawals will be processed of ANY portion of funds until the rollover has been met.

We have plenty of long term and loyal customers that have no problem taking a bonus and playing through the requirements. If you think the rollover is too high do not take the bonus, and if you think that you will not reach that amount of volume with your play through the season than we would prefer not to give you a bonus.

If you have any further questions on the matter, please call and allow one of our friendly customer care hosts to assist you.

These days I'm just happy to get paid. I've never had a problem at Rio or Skybook and have been playing there for 5 years.

I agree with Cincy. I would love to see more books offer alternative bonuses. Half points, reduced juice, money back on volume or losses, even a free play is better than a bonus with a big rollover.
