    Railbird,

Sword is correct if you are using every game. Teasers lose their value on big spreads and the value of your teaser also goes down.

If he could run that same stat using only 6-8 point favorites I think it becomes worth playing. Also if he could do this stat using home dogs of 2-4 points, thus adding the 6 points to all plays. I think this is also a winning combination.

If you are talking about 7 point teasers laying only -115 then of course they would be better to play. I will not lay extra juice if it's not needed. That will kill you more than anything.

I would never tease a 6pt fav to Pick, maybe 8ptfav to 2pts,maybe you should parlay the moneylines for a better deal.

        Railbird,

You can't parlay the money lines, because you would be laying more than -110. Even with the best money lines possible your laying more than -110. Another reason a 6 point teaser can be of value sometimes.

I guess what I'm saying is to get a big favorite under 3 points has great value.

            Dog,

6pt favs are generally -200,parlay 2,-200 =+125,Books seemed to be aware last year of the 3,so you did not see many 8-9.5 spreads.

Last year I looked for 12's then make them 5's or 19's,worked well for me,Nfl only

Tradewinds/Regency takes open spots on the phone, but I don't think their web s/w allows it. I think they are tie=no action whether to a w or l.

                Railbird,

Just wanted to make sure about the money lines. Money lines on 6.5 point favs are about -250. And 7 point favs are about -260 or higher. You can't parlay the money lines and get better odds. This is not true.

Lowering 6 to 8 point favorites is the best possible use of teasers! These are one of the few bets that the player has the ODDS in his favor.

                Thanks...............

                    Dog,

                    2,-250s = -105,moneylines do vary,just be aware of m.l.,say a game goes 7.5 then moves to 9,sometimes books forget to adjust m.l.,

m.l's can be 220 on 6.5,can be 240 on 7,say you get a 6.5 and a 9,at -220,-300,not always but sometimes you can get better deal.

                      Railbird,

You are correct. Sometimes you can find the odds that will be a better value. 2 minus -250's will pay just under -110. If the game is higher than 6 you will have a hard time finding better than -250 though.

You are right about the money lines not moving sometimes. You can get some real good value sometimes if you look around.

                      Good luck...........
