I recently encountered a minor problem at WSEX and would appreciate any feedback.
I opened my account last week so that I could play both the sportsbook and poker. I deposited $500, instantly worked that up to $4500, and now I am back to about $1000. The problem came when I tried to transfer funds from the sportsbook to the poker room. I had $41 in the poker room at the time and attempted to transfer $500 from the sportsbook. Well, not only was the transfer not posted, but my original poker balance of $41 disappeared ! I called WSEX and to make a long story short, they said it was a glitch and that everything would be worked out. Well, after numerous phone calls, everything was restored. However, it did take 3 days and I did have to spend over $50 calling them overseas(which, I found out later was my mistake for not noticing they had a toll free number) I politely asked to be compensated for my troubles once everything was resolved. The supervisor Kiki seemed shocked I would ask for anything, but checked it over with a fellow named Shawn and got back to me today with an offer of $20. Well, needless to say, I was not happy with this figure. I called Kiki and she asked how much I thought was fair. I told her she probably did not want to know what I thought was fair since it was so far away from $20, but I said that in all fairness, $100 would smooth things over nicely. She laughs at this figure and basically says take the $20 or nothing. At this point, another supervisor (Robert I think was his name) comes on the phone and reiterates $20 or nothing. I told him I thought $20 was an insult and a slap in the face and that they could keep the $20. He snaps and tells me that WSEX no longer wants my business and asks me where I want the funds sent. Eventually he calmed down and left my account open. He tells me that the $20 is now off the table. I told him fine, I don't want to argue anymore.
I really liked this book prior to this incident, but now I am starting to 2nd guess their credibility. Should I cash out now and save myself from future headaches, or was this a one time isolated incident? I guess I'm still steamed from the fact I had to pay over $50 in phone charges and now I have diddly squat to show for it.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Andy
