  • Phone calls/mailers/ emails etc...

jeff/brian -- i think you both should seriously consider removing books that consistently and after several requests DO NOT STOP sending marketing materials....

First Fidelity for example is the worst in terms of sending promos/ mailers and phone calls asking you to sign up. You email them or call them asking them to stop sending mailers and they say we will take care of it , but then 3 months later they are back sending .

Before the book should be allowed on "the List" you should ensure that each one is able and willing to remove a person from Every single database they have and take removal requests seriously .

In the wake of the national "do-not call list" I think everyone reading this can agree that Books need to take these removal requests seriously. If a book cant demonstrate and ability to remove people from their mailing lists than they should not qualify for "the List"

I keep getting tout phone calls. That really ruins it for the books who don't give your names and numbers to those scumbags or who aren't in bed with them. I keep asking them if they'll take a challenge to go 60% over 100 plays but so far no takers

the only way things will change -- is if people start complaining about these calls and letters and emails

          I agree.

I agree. I must have told Fidelity 3 times last year and they finally stopped only to start sending crap this year. It's total bullcrap as now I have to hear "it" from my wife.

Jeff- it used to ask us to log in before we could leave a message. can I suggest we go back to that as my memory is obviously shot.

heres a copy of an email i sent to a book for them to stop sending me stuff --- as I just went to my mailbox today I see a mailer to post up from them ....

"..............Please remove me from any emails/ gifts/ Phone calls/ marketing messages / letters from postal mail or any other form of communication that I may have left out or that you can think of.

Please take this matter seriously and take whatever steps are necessary to remove my email, phone number, address or any other information you have about me-- so no mistakes can occur .It is very important to me that you complete this task successfully and without errors now and forever. Please do not ignore this email and send an email 3 months from now. Thanks for your attention to this matter............"

                COULD I BE ANY CLEARER??

                  wait and see --

6 months from now one of these mailers will end up in the hands of a wrong addressee... that same someone will complain to the government about it and it will lead to more negative press about offshore.

                  you heard it here

                      Ever of hear of delete?

Ever hear of blocking the e-mail address?

                      Ever hear of spam alert?

What other e-mails do you get spammed on?

                      Porn?

                      Viagra?

                      Drugs?

Let's get real, you will always get spam, even it doesn't come in the blue can.
