The Falcons look to bouNCe back from last weeks loss to the Bengals and go 2-1 on the season as they host the Bucs tonight on Thursday night football. The Bucs are looking to get into the win column for the first time. The Falcons are -6 at sportsbook.ag with a total of 45.
The Bucs revamped offense has yet to get going. They scored just 14 in their opener against the Panthers and then 17 last week against the Rams. We can give them a pass for the Panthers Game as the Carolina defense is for real. But last weeks showing against St Louis proved this offense has a ways to go.
The Falcons ran into a Bengals team last week that also looks like it’s for real. However they were able to hang 37 on the board in week 1 against the Saints. A year ago these two split their two Games with each team winning at home in high scoring Games.
No question the Falcons are the better team right now. They have the home field edge, the better offense and should get the win tonight. But the total may be the way to go here, specifically the under. The Bucs defense actually might be pretty good and while the Falcons defense doesn’t look too good at this point, that anemic Bucs offense may very well make the Falcons defense look like the 85 Bears!
