The Bills have won the AFC East the last three seasons and have the best betting odds to win it this season even though four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers joined the Jets.

Here are the odds and previews for all of the AFC East teams.
Bills +230
The Bills got another solid season from Josh Allen under center but the team could not crack the Super Bowl. He still has star WR Stefon Diggs and a solid WR corps and the team used their first-round pick on TE Dalton Kincaid. Leading rusher Devin Singletary is gone and second year player James Cook (507 yards) will take over as the #1 RB and the team added veterans Damien Harris and Latavius Murray.
Buffalo is strong up front on defense but they have issues in the secondary. Two-time Pro Bowler Tre’Davious White is injury prone and needs to stay healthy. Second year player Kaiir Elam was up and down taking over for White last season and this tandem is key for a defense that has the pass rush. Near the end of the season, they have a brutal stretch of for out of division games facing the Eagles, Chiefs, Cowboys, and Chargers with three of those games on the road.
Jets +350
Rodgers comes to a stacked Jets team that had some bright spots last season despite subpar QB play. RB Breece Hall was off to a great start as a rookie last season before tearing his ACL. He should be back and 100% and the team added Dalvin Cook, who was released by the Vikings after four straight seasons of over 1,100 rushing yards. Garrett Wilson leads the WR corps but Rodgers should be familiar with two additions in ex-Packers Randall Cobb and Alan Lazard. The Jets’ defense is legit and the team is hoping Rodgers still has it and can lead the team to the playoffs, where they have not been since 2010.
Getting off to a good start will be key for New York, but their early schedule is tough with their first four games facing the Bills, Cowboys, Patriots, and Chiefs.
Dolphins +375
Tua Tagovailoa’s breakout season was cut short in 2022 and he was shut down but the team still made the playoffs. The fish have one of the best WR tandems in the league in Tyreek Hill and Jalen Waddle, as they combined for over 3,000 receiving yards. The team resigned the veteran duo of Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson to man the backfield and the offensive line is a good one.
Miami has a new defensive coordinator in Vic Fangio and while the Dolphins have some kay players on D such as edge rushers Jaelan Phillips and Bradley Chubb the training camp injury to star Jalen Ramsey is a concern with no timetable on his return. The health of Tua is key, as he needs to return to last season’s form and stay on the field for the team to succeed. Three of Miami’s first four games are on the road and their last four games are tough facing the Jets, Cowboys, Ravens, and Bills.
Patriots +850
Gone are the days when the Pats dominated the AFC East. The team brought back offensive coordinator Bill O’Brian and the team is hoping he can help Mac Jones, who regressed last season after a solid rookie campaign. In the off-season New England brought in WR JuJu Smith-Schuster and TE Mike Gesicki and late added RB Ezekiel Elliot to a crowded but less than impressive backfield. The offense lacks true starts but there is talent at the skill positions but the season may hinge on if Jones can bounce back.
The defense should be pretty good again and they ranked second in the NFL last season in takeaways. They will need to repeat that to give their iffy offense more chances to score points. Once again without Tom Brady, Bill Belichick has his work cut out for him and their early season schedule is tough with their first four games facing the Eagles, Dolphins, Jets, and Cowboys.
