Larry Holmes' Sportsbook???

Someone just e-mailed me that Larry Holmes is opening up his own casino and sportsbook at "www.betwiththechamp.com". Checking out the site it looks like you can't place a bet from Canada or the U.S. though?

No info. on the site, however. Does anybody know where this book is located? Also, does anybody know whether the site will be accepting wagers on the Holmes/Foreman fight?

I don't know.....

It does say on the website that the Larry Holmes Sportsbook and Casino is owned by Starnet Communications and licensed by the Antiguan Government through its subsidary World Gaming Services. However, that doesnt necessarily mean they are located in Antigua. Starnet also operates places like Sportsfanatik and The Sportsbook among many others. Most of the Starnet sportsbooks are located in Venezuela. The LHSC is the only one that disallows Americans and Canadians from playing with them.

According to Roxy's website, the Holmes/Foreman fight is off anyways, so the conflict of interest isn't a problem.

Holmes gets 400k for not fighting anyways - a nice sum to start up the sportsbook with, and Foreman gets $1 million for not fighting - which of course can buy about 50,000 George Foreman grills, 100,000 pounds of hamburger meat and 1,000,000 hamburger buns.

Paul... StarNet Comm. licenses their software. They do own some sites, but most are licensed.

I wonder what "Betwiththechamp" will be offering lines on that will cater to non-North American clientele...didn't know Larry Holmes was such a huge soccer fan...

Well, Larry is a friend of mine.

We play snooker sometimes, he likes women handball while I prefer women volleyball more. He also like Ashes but I think tennis is more excited. He says there are good value in little league world series, and I've told him to find a book with lines on world cup chess invitation.

I think he's just too serious and wanted to start to make some kick-as! money.

Way to go Larry.
