  • Postage Due

My mailman hand-delivered the mail to my door today, because there was a letter with postage due. He was a bit embarrassed, and said that normally these things would be returned to sender. But in this case there was no return address. Just a postmark from Pennsylvania.

I paid the 66 cents, and thanked him and went inside to check it out. It was a sports schedule, along with an advertisement for a sportsbook.

No big deal, really, but I was thinking how embarassing it must be for the sportsbook if someone (a paid mail distributor, probably) really sent out these postage-due envelopes in mass quantity.

I also got a postage due 66c...no return address. I could see through the envelope that it was Don Best schedules. I didn't pay...told the mailman he could keep them. What sportsbook was it?

      Sportshobby,
Which offshore book was advertised in that schedule?

I don't mean to start a guessing game, but I don't want to point fingers. There's really no guarantee that the sportsbook on the enclosed flyer (which is a very good book) is responsible for the mailing.

I think I'll call the book myself and make sure they know what happened, just in case they did sponsor the mailing.

        Just a goof-up, I'm sure.
