Wednesday NBA Update - Of the four playoff teams in action on Monday night, one of them looked like a serious NBA title contender. The second-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder dominated the third-seeded Los Angeles Lakers from the start in a 119-90 rout in Game 1 of their Western Conference semifinal series despite getting outrebounded by a 43-41 margin.

NBA Weekend Preview - Both Los Angeles NBA teams will try to finish off their first-round playoff opponents at the Staples Center starting on Friday when the fifth-seeded Clippers host the fourth-seeded Memphis Grizzlies in Game 6 of their best-of-seven series. The third-seeded Lakers will also be forced to play a deciding Game 7 at home on Saturday after they were routed on the road by the sixth-seeded Denver Nuggets in Game 6 on Thursday, 113-96.
Pacers vs. Heat - Spurs vs. Clippers - The top remaining seed in each conference will be in action on Tuesday when the Indiana Pacers visit the Miami Heat in Game 2 of their NBA semifinal series in the East and the San Antonio Spurs host the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 1 of their playoff matchup in the West. Celtics vs. Sixers NBA Playoffs Preview - The two teams that met in the 2010 NBA Finals will continue their quest for the 2012 championship on Monday when the fourth-seeded Boston Celtics host the eighth-seeded Philadelphia 76ers in the Eastern Conference playoffs and the third-seeded Los Angeles Lakers visit the second-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder in the West. The Celtics and Lakers are longshots to meet in the NBA Finals for the third time in five years, but they both have to feel confident after walking away with big wins on Saturday.
Thursday NBA Picks - With one team advancing in the NBA's Eastern Conference playoffs on Wednesday and two more going to a Game 6 in the West, there are three series that could either end on Thursday or get extended depending on the outcomes. All three home teams are favored yet again, with two of them looking to advance to the next round with wins.
Knicks vs. Heat Clippers vs, Grizzlies Game 5 Picks - The seventh-seeded New York Knicks finally showed some life in avoiding a sweep against the second-seeded Miami Heat in the first round of the NBA's Eastern Conference playoffs. However, New York still needs to win three more games to take out the heavily favored Heat, including Game 5 in Miami on Wednesday.
NBA Predictions and Betting Analysis for Tuesday - Four NBA playoff series could all end on Tuesday night with two of the home teams up 3-1 and two of the road teams also up 3-1. But the oddsmakers have favored all of the home teams in Game 5 of their respective matchups, so they at least think there is a possibility that at least two of the series will be extended to a Game 6.
NHL Playoff Betting Update With Analysis - (Monday)Two intriguing matchups will take place on Monday in the NHL playoffs, as the Phoenix Coyotes will look to finish off the Nashville Predators, and the New York Rangers will host the Washington Capitals in a pivotal Game 5 at Madison Square Garden with the series tied at 2-2. The third-seeded Coyotes won the Western Conference's Pacific Division by two points over the eighth-seeded Los Angeles Kings, who knocked out the second-seeded St. Louis Blues with a 3-1 victory on Sunday to complete an impressive 4-0 sweep.
